Thank you.

Thank you.
It’s more fun to talk with someone who doesn’t use long, difficult words, but rather short, easy words like ‘What about lunch?’
- Winnie-The-Pooh
“The power of man’s virtue should not be measured by his special efforts, but by his ordinary doings.”
- Blaise Pascal
Today, I stayed home by myself for the first time in a long time and did absolutely nothing but take the time to think carefully about my life and write about it here on 43things.
Somehow, reading this particular goal and thinking about finding the perfect words to describe my current joy of living in the moment this afternoon drove me to the two most perfect words of summation:
bwahhaha & muwahhaha
Seriously, I have no idea why these phonic words come to mind, other than to say life is definitely funny and I am absolutely up to something.
My boys are home now, though… so it’s time to stop writing for a while and to get going—they have apparently carried in new eBay surprise packages for me to open tonight… fun, fun! Yes, the universe is conspiring to bring me all the things I need.
Happy Wednesday, everybody.
CELEBRATE THE ORDINARY
In the long run men hit only what they aim at.
- Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche
Karma can be good. It reminds of of where we are, leads us to where we want to go, and helps us to remember to always be mindful of what we are doing.
When unfortunate things happen in life, you have to re-evaluate and press forward with what you are here in the world to be doing.
When good things happen in life, you have to re-evaluate and press forward with what you are here to be doing.
Either way one has to be mindful of your own actions and search the world to figure out how the universe has conspired to bring you all good things and hidden opportunity.
This new year, instead of making a bunch of silly resolutions, we are checking out aim and intentions. Where some men hit a target negatively, I’m focusing positively—and so are the rest of the members of my family.
Happy New Year, Everybody!
