2. The Ballpark in Arlington

About 20 and 1/2 miles away. A great place to watch MLB. Currently, the first place Texas Rangers are doing very well (cross fingers here). A beautiful building and arena that has been here since about 1995. A grand place that will endear itself to the local community long after it’s industrial sized neighbor has been razed and forgotten about.

1. Cowboys Stadium

About 20 miles away. What a large building this is. It officially opens in about a week with the first event being a George Strait concert. Several other major concerts will follow, then the football team gets a chance to use it. As big as the Fort Worth/Dallas area is, this place can be seen almost from anywhere. When people say things are bigger in Texas this place proves it! It is weird though that the place doesn’t seem quite so massive when you are very close to it, say across the street at the Wal Mart. But get about a mile away where you can see the whole thing and how it just swallows everything else up is amazing. Even the Texas Rangers ballpark next door shrinks when compared to this thing. I hope the Redskins never lose in this place!
