help animals

This is the other fish that we got. They are both very fun to have around :)

I just got two new fish. I suppose this could be considered helping animals because at least now they are not stuck in a two inch square, they have a big bowl to swim around in.

I haven’t seen the cat I have been trying to help come around for a while now. It’s freezing here in MI, probably 9 degrees outside right now with a lot of snow. So my guess is that the cat had a home and its owners no longer let it out at night due to the weather. That’s what I’m hoping anyways! If I ever see it I will gladly find it a temporary home with someone. I would let it stay at my house but I have a dog that has never been around a cat before.

I don’t think I could get much happier right now. The cat that I have been trying to help finally came around my house again tonight. My dog let me know about this one, he went barking like crazy. When I got something prepared for the cat to eat and went to put it on the porch, it got scared and ran away. I set it out there anyway. Then I decided some milk wouldn’t hurt, so got that ready, went to put it on the porch and the cat got scared again and ran away again. Put it out there though. I knew it would come back. And it did. The kitty ate and drank its milk.

It’s such a pretty cat! Really big blue eyes, but when I looked, he/she looked so scared, it made me sad. The sound of a car driving by made it jump. That’s so terrible that something so innocent and cute should be left alone outside with no one to give it love. At first I thought it was black and white when I saw it days ago..but it’s actually black and gray. Hm, maybe there are two cats. Or maybe I was seeing wrong.

As time goes on I would like to find out whether this cat does or does not have a home and whether it is sick or not.

Edit – 2hrs later from my post and the cat came back. I looked through the door but it’s still scared.

came back around my house tonight. I pulled up into the driveway and saw it walk across my porch. I ran into the house and warmed up some milk for it. I put it on the porch, looked around for the cat, but it wasn’t there. I was a little sad, but thankfully when I checked back about an hour later, a lot of the milk was gone! I was really happy. Hopefully the cat will come back tonight for more milk or something to eat. If it gets comfortable enough around my house, I can make it a temporary home in my grandmas shed down the street. That’s my plan anyways, then I would really like to make sure it’s not sick and find it a real home. And I’m 95% sure that this cat does not have a home in the first place because I’ve seen it around many many nights, and some days. It was even out on Halloween with all the people walking the streets. We’ll see.

Trying, as of now! There is a cat running around the neighborhood. Going to give it milk and food until we find it a home.
