i’m ‘taking’ a meditation course from zencast.org. i also will be purchasing a meditation cd from brainsynch.com next month. i spend about 15-20 minutes a night on this goal, altho for now, that is only about 5 minutes of meditation with the rest progressive muscle relaxation. my goal is to gradually increase my meditation time, so that by mid-march i am at half an hour per day.

meditation used to be so much a part of everyday life. it took very little effort to reach that still place. i was very much more in tune with everything. now that i’ve fallen out of the habit, it feels as though one of my eyes was poked out. too bad i did it to myself. the good news is, i can ‘regrow’ it too. ;)
i’m starting simple. 5-10 minutes of progressive muscle relaxation, followed by 2-3 minutes of breath awareness. no goal, no ‘must meditate now’ plan. just relax, then breathe. next week i will increase the breath awareness and perhaps add a simple mantra. or maybe just keep doing this. i’m going to try the ‘let go’ approach. see what happens after the breath awareness. last night it was sleep. but tonight it might be something else.
