It was a very nice trip for the 4th of July weekend. I flew into Sacramento Airport since I found the flight and hotel were much cheaper. Met up with a friend on my arrival and the next day we headed out for San Francisco. First destination of course was Fisherman’s Wharf passing through the Embarcadero. The weather was hot, but the atmosphere was great. Fun people, great food and plenty of things to do including live jazz music on the boardwalk. We took a bay cruise, passing under the Golden Gate Bridge and by Alcatraz Island. Also visited the Aquarium by the Bay where amazing sea life can be seen. Was unable to visit the actual Alcatraz Prison because all the tickets were sold out for the day early in the afteroon. Next time, tickets will be purchased online in advance. Later in the evening, I toured downtown SF, passing through China Town, Treasure Island, taking photos of the famous Mrs. Doubtfire house on Steiner Street, TransAmerican Bldg and then traveling down the most windiest road in the world called Lombard street. The trip was really nice and refreshing especially considering I lived in northern CA for a year and never toured San Francisco. I can’t wait to go back.
P.S. on the way back to the airport I visited the Capitol of California which was pretty neat also.
