I really succeeded at this goal, but I think life events just put me over the edge sometimes and that’s why I reverted back to biting. Now I am in a more stable place, and the mark of autumn marks the beginning of awesome nails. I will NOT bite ever again. For once I actually believe myself.
:)
May is my birthday month! It’s the perfect time.
I am redoing this goal. I have gone a long time before without biting. I am going to say that for every successful week of not biting, that I can reward myself by getting one nail polish. I’ll continue this until I stop biting completely.
I want beautiful, long, pretty nails! I’m doing this!
It happens.. you relapse a bit and need to start again.
The point is, it’s totally possible.
The end result of having long lovely paintable nails is worth it!
<3 Day 1
I finally finished this one. But I didn’t do any tracking of time.. I know it’s for sure been a month though.
All I did was try to keep them the prettiest possible at every length. I’m still waiting for them to get super long though. Slow process.
anyway:
-Clean your nails all the time…keep them polished and nice looking
Once they get long, and you’ve got your fingers in your mouth. Have this thought: The sight of your freshly bitten, ragged nails..ahh. bad.
you won’t do it.
What works: nasty mavala “no bite” polish… except I always find a reason not to wear it. This summer it will be my weapon. For about 3 weeks, I need to stick to willpower.
What doesn’t work:
Just painting them. It’s not enough anymore.
What I’m trying:
I’m going to put checkmarks in my planner for days I don’t bite the nails.
I’m doing amazingly well. Well not really, I’m hating the white part of my nails. I HATE IT. So I file like a mad woman. Glass files are amazing everyone…
Repainting them often helps, as does keeping them looking perfect. Then you’ll just admire. You won’t bite.
I’m not sure which shade is next. But to all ladies, dark colors really help.
I’m giving it up per se with my friend. Hopefully it will work. And I won’t count it done until at least 4 weeks. Because I’ve not bitten for a month at one point, but totally relapsed (it’s all too easy…)
Anyway. tomorrow. The end. FOR REAL. I live once, and I want to live the rest of the days of my life with respectable, attractive hands to show that I’m well taken care of.
I’m getting rid of this one. I know I can do it, because I went a month without it. I can’t even touch them with my teeth, I should do something else. Pray or write. Everyday I don’t do this (which I won’t), I’ll put a pretty pink heart in my planner and feel proud inside. best of luck all. It’s possible, and much better not to. You’ll be so proud of your hands, even if you’re not a superficial person like I seem to be. haha.
Being distracted by life/vacation, and not even looking at my hands.
This is almost week 2 I believe, they already look amazing.
