We’ve been doing pretty good eating at home for dinner, but lunch is our problem. We never have time in the morning, and we don’t ever get things ready the night before, so we always eat for lunch during the week. I don’t mind eating out once in a while, I just want to get away from it being an everday thing.

We ordered a pizza for dinner last night, but other than that we’ve been eating at home and taking food to work for lunch. Just gotta keep it up.
We brought our lunch to work yesterday and made food at home for dinner. We didn’t bring any lunch today, because we were in such a hurry this morning. I need to get everything packaged up so that it’s faster to put together.
Last night after work, we went to the grocery store and bought food for our snacks, lunches and dinners for the week. We have promised that we will not eat out at all this week to help us get on track. We brought lunch to work today, so I’m pretty optimistic about it.
The food we bought isn’t necessarily the best, but at this point I’m working on the buying food at the grocery store part, then we can focus on buying better foods. I really need to find some more recipes though!
I am REALLY happy about last week. We went out for dinner only once the whole week! We are definitely doing better about dinner, now I’ll have to make sure we keep it up and get started on lunch. Next week we’re going on vacation, so it’ll be hard to do anything about this goal, but I’m really pleased with how we’ve been doing so far.

Last week (8/20/07- 8/26/07) was actually really good. We did eat 4 times, but only one of those was “avoidable.” We went out with friends the other times, so I don’t mind those. The times I mind are when we could have eaten at home, like Sunday. But we had no food in the house, because we’re so bad about going to the grocery store. I’m forcing myself to go tonight…no excuses!

So, my progress for last week (8/6/07- 8/12/07) was not so good. There were a couple times where I was out, and eating at home would have been difficult, but there were a couple times too where I could have done better. I’m aiming higher this week, and I’m going to try and make a grocery list and get some dinner and lunch ideas together for the week.

I’m pretty happy with last week (7/30/07- 8/5/07). I went out to eat three nights out of the week, but two were for family or friend’s birthdays, so those are special days. I didn’t eat at home Tuesday, because I didn’t get home until very late, so I’m proud of myself for not going out to eat when I could have eaten at home instead. I just need to keep this up, and make better food to eat at home, and I’ll be set!
Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with when I eat at home and when I don’t, so I decided to make a weekly list I can update to help me keep track.
