My husband, daughter, and I had game night and played Uno Attack. It’s a really fun version of Uno with a machine that spits card out at you when you need to draw has some other fun twists. Well, we decided to rename it Moja instead, for the Swahili word for “one”. Aren’t we clever? :P

I need to be immersed in the language, be surrounded by it daily. I need to learn how it is used in real life, not in a textbook. Apparently, “Jambo” as a greeting is waaay too formal. I don’t want to sound like a silly Mzungu! I guess that won’t happen until I complete my “Go to Kenya” goal, so in the meantime, I’ll listen to my Pimsleur CDs and learn what I can.
