Really doing it now

Well, I haven’t been on 43 Things in a while. The reason? I have been sticking to my writing schedule, working on the novel that has been hanging over my head for the past four years. And yes, I almost have a draft! So far, it’s 71500 words. Not the heft of Gone With the Wind, but still longer than The Bell Jar and Less Than Zero. Not that size matters…

Been very bad, very

Lately, due to some drama in my love life and a lack of motivation, I have NOT been writing. My poor iBook has been sitting on my dining room table as I have been flitting around at nightclubs and parties. Well. Time to get down to business. Tomorrow.

Uh Oh

I haven’t been writing lately. My job and some other stuff has been keeping me away from my iBook for the past two weeks. I have to get back at it soon.

Not too bad

I spent about two and a half hours writing today. Would have been longer but had to deal with a monthly female problem, which had me on the couch all morning. Ugh. You men are lucky…

OK

Fridays are my official writing days, but for the past few weeks I haven’t been taking full advantage of that time. The main reason for this slip-up is that my car broke down and it took over a week to get it fixed! But now it is running great and it’s time to get back on the wagon.

Tomorrow I will be up at 9:00 and out the door by 10:30. Let’s hope my laptop battery holds up.

I guess I should also decide what I will work on tomorrow. I can do some writing on the old novel and the new one, read over my revised short story, and do research for the column I want to write. The reseach will be the last thing I do before class at 6 pm.
