I'm giving this 6 more Months

I started putting back $25 out of each paycheck a while back and managed to save up a few hundred dollars. When I found out I was expecting I knew I would need even more since I would have to take time off wok when the baby came and did not have paid leave. I put my $1000 Christmas bonus in saving and didn’t touch it and now have quite a bit in there. With my husband’s pay remaining the same since I’ve been off work I haven’t had to touch our savings yet. It looks like I might not have to touch it at all. If I can keep at least the $1000 for another 6 months I will mark this as Done.

New Tires

Had to dip into my savings to get new tires that were desperately needed. Will be replacing the money in the next two weeks though.

Yeah

Wow, I have saved $320 so far. Go me.

Over $200

Well, the savings is up over $200. This is going good. If I can get some more bills paid off I will be able to put back even more from each pay check.

Building back up

I had to transfer some, but I still have $70. Since Christmas is over maybe this will get back on track.

$175

I had been saving up for a new TV for our bedroom for Christmas, but we went ahead and bought it early because it was on sale. I haven’t had to break into the saving yet and hopefully I can keep saving for awhile. The rest of Christmas is already figured into the budget, so maybe I can grow it a little.

Still Saving

Well, my savings is back up to $125.00. I know it’s not much, but at least I’m trying again.

When It Rains...

It’s hard to save money when everything around me is falling apart. My car went kaplooie last week and now I have to get another one. Luckily, we have an offer to get an OK one for $1000 from my FIL. I had to have emergency dental work done this week that cost around $400. So, we’re almost broke until next pay day. I have a feeling that what little is in savings will be used to help us scrape by until then. They had a teacher with Swine Flu at my son’s school and I hope more than anything that none of us get it. We really can’t afford the medical bills right now.

Set Back

I had a little set back last week and had to transfer funds from savings to checking. I will try to replenish it this month and get caught up again.

$175.02

Yep, another $25.
