I got back on the treadmill today and walked a mile. I know it’s not a lot, but it’s a start. If only I can keep it up.

I really need to lay off the pasta some. I realized that pasta makes up the main part of my food intake. I love veggies too, so I need to start getting more of them instead of carbs.
OK, so I haven’t been working on this, but I really should. I’m now up to 134 and could stand to lose a few pounds while shaping up. I didn’t even weigh this much when I was pregnant.
We bought a new treadmill and I started using it yesterday. I got in a 3 mile walk and it felt really good. I hope this helps me get into a little better shape.
My MIL said that I looked pregnant today. A few weeks ago a customer asked me when I was due. This has got to stop! It kind of hurts when people actually think I’m pregnant. I don’t necessarily need to lose weight, but I need to shape up. I’m 5’3”/125lbs. I think overall I look better than I did when I was younger (5’3”/90lbs.), but obviously my belly looks pregnant.
I really need to work on this. I looked at myself last night and realized that I am starting to put on weight again. I weigh more now than I did when I was pregnant. I need to get in shape. I don’t like the way I look anymore. I’m not saying that I want to get back to a size 1, but fitting into a 6 again would be nice. I want to look healthy, not too skinny like I used to be.
My DS and I hiked a 1.5 mi forest trail on Saturday. When I picked out our hiking trail last week I didn’t think to see what the terrain was like. It turned out to be a very steep knob(little mountains we have in KY) that had lots of fallen trees crossing the trail in many spots. We not only got some walking in, but we also got to climb over trees and hop across streams. It was a bit more vigorus than I had planned on. We did get a nice workout though. Hope to do it again soon.
So, I was with my DH on vacation and didn’t get to do a lot of walking. He doesn’t like to walk. We ended up doing about a mile and a half total for the week. When we got home today it was raining, so no walk today either. Maybe tomorrow.
I haven’t been able to walk since last week. It has rained like crazy every day. I hope to get back to it later this week. If not I plan to do a lot of walking next week when I’m on vacation. We are going to a couple of state/national parks and I hope to do some walking while there.
The two mile walk felt great yesterday. This morning I woke up with sore legs and a sore back. I was going to walk again this evening after work, but decided to give myself a day off. I can’t wait to walk tomorrow though. I promised my son that I would wait until he gets home from school. He was disappointed that I went without him yesterday. I guess tahts a good thing in a way because he seems excited about exercise. Can’t convince DH to go with us yet.
