i have suffered scoliosis since early adolescence. the problem was never extremely serious, but rather the perfect degree to cause a hell of a lot of back tension and stress. i found that my posture also helped accentuate the pain and stress in the lower region of my back.
i recently started practicing yoga. this targets and works the spine in every move without exerting extreme pressure on your back. it also stretches all the muscles and releases any toxins that are being held in your spine. every since i started, i’ve noticed results. it was actually quite an apparent and immediate change.
yoga also helps the body identify and become familiar with a correct stance and muscle balance. this helps make it much easier to identify poor posture and keep from exerting too much pressure on one side naturally.
basically, i recommend yoga for those who have back aches due to poor posture. it really works!
