Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

#35: Blood Orange Punch

While we perused in Cleveland, we got a recommendation to go to Melt, which is a grilled cheese lovers heaven. To go along with my jalapeño popper sandwich (oh yeah, they dip the whole damn thing in batter and fry it), I decided on this lovely drink, which is topped off with a little champagne, my favorite.

#34: Mimosa

Obviously not my first and not my last. My mom and I made a pitcher for the hot tub and then we all threw a game of catch with snowballs. Yes, the things we do for fun.

#33: Hypnotize

Some kind of gingery, blue – orangey thing. Delicious.

#32: Elderflower Fizz

I now need to find St. Germain, balk at its price, and slowly hand over my money. This thing was incredible. It also had chamomile bitters – something I need to find out how to make!

#31: 'Skinny' Mojito

They said it was skinny. I said, ‘double the rum.’

#30: Dark & Stormy

Yum. Made with homemade ginger syrup & black rum.

#29: Blue Lagoon Punch

When my mom and sister requested of me to make a refreshing drink for my sister’s baby shower back in March, of course I obliged!
Yes, we served alcohol at a baby shower…le sigh

#28: Rainbow Shots

I say shots count.
These delicious little morsels were consumed at Cabo Blue last December. Num num num. I’d like to go back now, please.

#27: Dirty Pirate

Is that name politically correct? Anyhoo, this is scrumptious! Kahlua + spiced rum + Coca – Cola in a popsicle! Or, if ya have any leftover… in your glass of choice.

#26: Holiday Cranberry Cocktail

Every year, I go crazy for the holiday cranberry ginger ale soda! I had read about a holiday cocktail combining apple & cranberry juice, ginger ale, and vodka. Well, keeping the spirit of DIY alive, I created my own cocktail of soda & spiced rum. So delicious!
