so maybe if the Smashing Pumpkins were having a concert somewhere in the Detroit-Chicago area, I would trek out to see them. but you know, I wouldn’t make such a big deal about it right now. I’m sorry, but Ginger Reyes and Jeff Schroeder ARE NOT the Smashing Pumpkins to me. it would feel like I was cheating on the music. it’s just incomplete. I need James Iha and D’Arcy Wretzy. with just Corgan and Chamberlin, it’s just like it’s Billy with a backup band. maybe I’d say different things if I saw them, but I’m still going to wait for a complete reunion with the same band that recorded the songs I hold so heavy.
