redecorate my bedroom

My beautiful bed arrived, took back breaking work to assemble-thanks to my dear sweet brothers. This weekend-move unwanted furniture out…repaint and start the fun stuff! Finding nice little knick knacks to go into my new room, and…groan, clear out what isnt needed…..

Well, my bed and mattress are ordered. This weekend I am clearing out my desk and existing bed (it has drawers in the bottom) so they can be moved in the next few weeks when my new bed arrives!! Yippee! I am off to Greece on Thursday, I cant wait! Whilst I’m there I am going to look at getting some new linen, some ceramic doorknobs. When I come back, I will get a simple chest of drawers and personalise it with the doorknobs. I have a nice wall hanging for above my bed and a rug for my floor already

Well, I have found a bed I like, and this weekend I am making a start on clearing out my desk. I have found a good home for my desk, my brother has his high school finals next year, so a big desk with lots of storage is just what he needs…he could also have my huge shelving unit too for all his files and books.

In other news, my parents are going to get me the bed and a dressing table for my birthday…the rest I will save up and get myself.
Hurray!
Painting, I think we have some of that yellow paint left and we have a sizable tester pot left for just the touch-ups in the meantime.
I am going to greece for a holiday and I am going to bring back funky ceramic door knobs and handles to jazz up plain furniture and to hang my collection of bags from!

I want to clear out my huge desk, which is no longer of use and is just encouraging me to store more junk. I have a huge shelving unit which is now half empty due to some clearing out anyways. I am getting a new bed soon, mine is so old now, the drawers underneath get jammed, it squeaks badly and the base just about holds together really. Then, to get a small chest of drawers, redesign my wardrobe, get a smaller desk and a small dressing table and touch up the walls.
