The Plan - 1 week on

Done – Recycle at least one item per day.
- Get a “no junk mail” sign for the letter box.
Done – Dont print out documents at work just to read them.
Done – If I need to buy paper, buy recycled paper.
Done – Rather than chuck recyclable things in the nearest bin, go further and find a recycling bin.

The challenge remains to find other things to do. I have consumed no paper (well except the obvious) but I can’t avoid it forever. Still need to chase up the junk mail sign. Junk mail is just.. dumb. I don’t get the point of it at all. I don’t read it. For that matter, I don’t read mail that is actually intended to be worthy of my attention. eg bills. They should just email me an electronic document. Hmm action on myself to investigate the feasibility of this.

Strategic view.. hmm.. so much ado in Australia about compulsory water tanks for any new council approvals. But what about the stormwater. Surely, surely, it would be worthwhile to seriously consider catching this stormwater and purifying it before it hits the sea. Probably worth googling to find out why this can’t be done and/or doesn’t seem to be on the table for political discussion… I really need to stop leaving myself notes :)

The Plan

The beginning of a plan:

- Recycle at least one item per day.
- Get a “no junk mail” sign for the letter box.
- Dont print out documents at work just to read them.
- If I need to buy paper, buy recycled paper.
- Rather than chuck recyclable things in the nearest bin, go further and find a recycling bin.
