I’m having to commute to London now for work, it’s not forever, but it does mean getting up before 7 every day in order to get the train.
I must be getting used to it though cause I’m getting up earlier at weekends too

I need to get up at 7 every morning now for work. It’s hell, and I fall to sleep on the train most of the time, but at least it’s helping with this goal.
I know why though. I’m working abroad during the week in a timezone one hour a ahead of home, also, I’m getting up an hour and half earlier than normal for work during the week, so I actually gain 2 and a half hours lie on a saturday compared to what I use to get, meaning I can get up at nine on a saturday morning, and it feels like ten o’clock.
For what ever reason, I woke up at 9:45 and actually got up and had a shower, then stayed up. At weekends, I got into the habit of sleeping in till midday, sometimes even past 1pm! Don’t know why I got up earlier today, maybe it’s giving up the caffeine and sugar having an effect.
I’m now pursueing the goal of giving up caffeine and sugar. This should really help with getting to sleep earlier. The main problem I’ve got with getting up earlier, is that I just dont go to bed before 1:30AM, even on work nights! So all week I’m getting to bed after 1:30AM then forcing myself to get up around 9AM to get to work for 10, so I’m just knackered all the time. If I can get to bed around 11:30 each night and not be full of caffeine, so I might actually get to sleep quickly, then I should feel much better on a daily basis.
I’d probably not get up before half ten anyday of the week. As it is, I get up ten minutes before I need to leave for work. So most of the time I’m late for work, or I skip breakfast (every day).
I can’t seem to get out the habit of going to bed far too late and then getting up as late as possible I set the alarm, but I just wake up, set it forward an hour and go back to sleep. Help!
My dream is to get up early every day, go to the gym, have breakfast, then get to work in plenty of time feeling refreshed and totally awake ready for the day, instead of eeling dead and not wanting to do anything.
