be more artsy

Thinking of doing a minor in fine arts. Thinking of stopping trying to define myself with adjectives. Thinking this goal has been accomplished in the eyes of my friends and fellow students.

My friend was asking about my painting, and if I’ve gotten any new compliments, and I got to tell her about how some of the artsy kids were talking about my painting. They liked the feathers in it a lot, so does my teacher. People seem to like it, that makes me really happy. I’m really close to being done now. It’s exciting.

According to everyone I hang out with, I’m the most artsy person they know. But from my frame of reference I’m not too “artsy.”
I think more of this goal will be about realizing how artistic/artsy I am. I think I’m lacking some art confidence.

Artsy stuff going on now:
- 24×36 faux fauvism multi-media panting (need to add in the fake flowers and some rough graphite flower sketching, then I’m done)
- made a journal (sewn in the pages, made a hard cover, ect.) last weekend
- considering being an art teacher as a future dream job
- people keep thinking I’m going into the DAAP (Design, art, architecture, and planning) program at a close college. (I’m really just undecided in the Arts and Sciences)
