I’m doing quite well actually.
I’ve kind of run out of pointless things to buy myself and i am getting better about making my money last longer and using it on the things that really matter.
I have my savings coming out at the end of this week. Yay! I better not spend it.
I’m finding it quite hard because i’ve lost a lot of weight recently and i’m loving the fact i can go shopping and buy new clothes and look good in them. I’m also spending a lot of money on nights out at pubs/clubs/cinema etyc etc.
Ooooh well eh?
I’ll update at the end of this month. The main thing is i’m not shopping as much now and not buying pointless things when i don’t need to. =D

I started working full time in September last year (2005). I love it. I absolutely love it. However the money that comes into my accound every month seems to evaporate withing a week maximum.
It’s been getting better recently but i really need to start budgeting my money. I’ve been good in the sense that since i’ve started working i’ve been putting money in a high rate savings account every month. This is really good for me. I don’t feel as bad for spending all my money because i know it all hasn’t gone. I know that there is some always going into safe keeping.
I can’t start a pension yet and i really want to. I’m only 17 which i think is a bit unfair.
I want to be able to make my money last all month. It’s not like i’m getting paid hardly anything – there is a lot of disposable income floating around and it goes so quickly.
Has any one got any tips to help me budget my money? Any mind tricks? Rules? Books to read? Goals?
Please someone help me!
