learn to quilt

Renovating the kids bathroom so I’ve had to lay it down. But, got some good advice and visited my local library. Spent my spare time reading over about 6 books. Learned quite a few things. I think I have the basic concept down. I’ll pick this one back up after I finish this latest home project. I only have 2 arms people!!!

I am going to cheat and use a sewing machine, hey ..my goal was not to make it by hand! I dont want the thing to fall apart after the 1st wash. I dont know about anyone else who had this goal, but I know NOTHING about sewing. My grandparents got me an awesome sewing machine and I have one quilting book. The book might as well been written in Greek. It all is so confusing, and I’m ashamed cause I know it shouldnt be. I suppose it is just the way its worded. If anyone has any suggestions, please by all means reply. I think I will start out with a small blankie and then do our bedspread. I really wanted a traditional plain block quilt, i think they are pretty. I’m not into big country patterns, but no one likes my idea of just using small squares. I dont know what to do. Scared I will take all that time and then it will end up a disaster, and then I wont want to do it anymore. Keep me in your prayers! lol
