I do volunteer work for the Texas Brigades Youth Leadership Camp. This summer, I was chosen to be a Herd Leader for the Buckskin Brigades, which is a camp focusing on Whitetailed Deer conservation and management. In fact, I’ve only been home for about two weeks, after spending a week in deep South Texas at this camp; a good 7 hour drive from my home.
I love working for this organization and never pass up an opportunity, even though it usually costs me a ton of money to travel to wherever I need to be. I believe in what they’re doing, I love the other volunteers, and I love the kids: such a change from the ones I teach.
