I have tried everything, too! My magic number seems to be 15 minutes – there’ll always be a point when I’m basically on schedule, then I’ll do something stupid and unnecessary until I’m fifteen minutes late again. Then I’ll panic and be mad at myself. Lather, rinse, repeat.
My plan right now is to make a list of all my appointments – work stuff, meetings with friends, etc, and aim to be on time, properly, for say 40%? Then I could kind of work it up from there until it wasn’t an embarassing disgrace.
It’d be totally awesome if other people tried this with me, we could compare progress or something!
