go to the doctor

I’m so glad that I went to the doctor. I discovered some major medical issues that are potentially not so good, so I’m able to get this stuff taken care of. Still need to get to the Ob/Gyn. Ugh.

I finally went to the doctor, got a physical, except I still need to go to the Ob/Gyn. Ugh. I’ve got to do it, just hate it. Bloodwork all came back normal, except my cholesterol was a little high and the good to bad ratio was reversed. I’ve got some work to do there.

A close friend of mine has metastatic breast cancer and it’s back again. It’s very aggressive and this is round 3. She’s 32. I’m 38 and need to get that baseline mammogram done. The problem is that I’ve been pregnant or breastfeeding for the last 6 years, and I’m still breastfeeding now. I’m not exactly sure how this affects mammograms, except they aren’t as accurate during lactation. I need to go and get completely worked up, too. So, I know I’ve got to go and do it, but I dread the outcome. The worst it could be can’t be any worse than my friend’s diagnosis, though, could it?
