watch the imdb 100 best movies

I’ve seen the IMDB top100.
I feel like this is the first big thing, what I decided, and managed to FINISH.
I loved every second of it, although I’m not 100% sure that it’s a list what you can really rely on. But certainly a good start.
My last movie was the Shawshank Redemption – what a great ending for this challange. It was like a gift, or like a cherry on a pie.

BUT i’m very disappointed, as Godfather is no longer the No.1 movie on imdb. I hope this batman stuff will fall back, and this is just because it’s so new…
14 films to go, I was ill in the last days, so I could watch 3. It’s amazing, I saw 86 already.
Can’t wait to finish this goal.

..but I’ve been “bad”, and I watched some other films, which are not in the list. I absolutely loved the Nights of Cabiria, which is a great Fellini film, plus I watched a Kurosawa, the Ikiru, both 9/10.
From the top100, the first film, which I did not like was Lawrence of Arabia.
I realized, that it was the first time, that I saw The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, I can’t describe with words. So worth watching!
I begun the write personally designed dvds (with .avi videos) to my friends. :)
I’m proud, that so far 4person watched the Godfather, because I said it has to be seen.

Yeah, wow, I had 40 left a 2 months ago.
But I watched 4 in the last week. I’m getting there, really.
I really liked the ‘Das Leben der Anderen’ 9/10, saw it in a cinema.
Sin City 4/10, not my style.
Modern Times 9/10 Chaplin – genius. You can laugh on his films, but they’re not “empty” films like the “comedys” nowadays.
The Apartment 8/10 Billy Wilder classic – do I have to say more?
I think I’m gonna re-watch(?) (not sure) Jaws now.

I loved the 7 Samurai, I think I’d like to watch more Kurosawa films.

...but I just realized that I’m about 60/100. So 40 more to go, but from these, I already saw around 10, but I can’t really remember them, so I will watch them again. Last 3 was:
The Prestige (2006) - pretty damn good one about magicians, not so well known. 9/10
The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948) – I love Bogart, I may start looking for his grandson if he has one… The film is great as well of course! 8/10
Reservoir Dogs (1992) – I don’t know, I like some Tarantino films, but not this one, maybe I was just up to something deeper, when I saw this. 7/10
(Yeah the film is not bad, I just didn’t like it that much. It got 7/10 anyway, thanks to my kindness :)
