Was at Borders for a Script Frenzy event but I was the only one there. Started looking at the magazines, dreading how far behind I was on the screenplay. I noticed a copy of American Short Fiction out of place on the magazine racks. On the last page of the issue, it mentioned a short-short contest. Just put in my application using SLO Morning, a short story about a bagel shop in San Luis Obispo, changed the story a bit, including the title. Can’t wait to see how the competition turns out. This is the closest I’ve come in years to getting anything published—since leaving the magazine industry entirely. Wish me luck.

Cubes has written 2 entries about this goal
This is a little more difficult than I thought. I actually signed up for a course at Gotham Writer’s Workshop and found out a lot of problems that I had with my writing that I just hadn’t noticed before. My saving grace is that my ideas are fantastic; I just have to work on the mechanics a bit.
