perfect my Russian

My goal in this regard will be measured by passing the ATA translation test. I need to start seriously studying for it. It’s one of my resolutions for 2009.

I was pretty fluent in Russian – and I guess I still am to some degree. The thing is that I hardly ever use it anymore. It’s a shame since I love the language and enjoy watching Russian tv and reading Russian. The life I lead now just doesn’t involve anything Russian by necessity so my exposure is very irregular. I need to make a realistic schedule for watching Russian programs and reading. I’ve long wanted to do my own translations of Dostoevsky. I need to set realistic goals though since there are so many other things I need to do right now too.
