Hmm. Yesterday there were 504 messages in my inbox. This morning, there are 546. How did that happen?

Yesterday, I replied to 7 emails. That’s a long way from 504, but most of those 504 are not that important. I think I answered the most important 7. One was from a professor at Indiana University, and two were from people interested in the new web project.
Happily, the main reason I’m finding it difficult to get to all the email is because I’m spending nearly all my time pair-programming on the web project.
This is getting ridiculous. There are now 504 messages in my inbox. Some of them are important: from people interested in my new web-site project.
I read in a biography of Robert Moses that he always responded to correspondence on the day it came even, working as late as necessary to get it all done. This way, it never accumulated.
I’m no Robert Moses, but putting everything on hold and clearing out my inbox once sounds like a good idea right now.
