Tried it after five days of steeping. It tasted…mediciney. Like a bad liqueur. It smells really good, as long as you don’t get your nose too close to it.
blissfulwizard said that it’s a pretty shade of green. Ahem.
I’m not ready to give up yet. We have a whole bottle of this stuff. Some ideas:

At blissfulwizard’s birthday party Wednesday night, we put some basil in a jar with some vodka, and left the jar in a cupboard.
I never did find basil-infused vodka at a bar in San Francisco, despite asking at quite a few bars that specialize in imaginative drinks, like Rye, Lush Lounge, Madrone, and Lime Lounge.
