I’ve finally started on a new book. I’m co-authoring it with a former math professor of mine. We’re having webcam calls on Saturday mornings: he answers my questions, I write stuff up, and he reviews it. We don’t know yet if this book idea can really fly, so we’re taking it one week at a time.
So far, four pages done, and they’re looking good. I’m finding it a great pleasure to write this stuff up, too. I haven’t gotten my “explaining things in writing” fix in years!

I’ve written one book and I want to write more.
I have about four or five book ideas that really inspire me. Of course, they’re all very difficult and would take a lot of time and work—more to do the research than to do the writing.
I’ve been putting them off until I’ve got enough money to be able to spend several months going full-blast on a book. Of course, this is a dangerous move. It’s been nine years since the first book, and the first book was just a trial to learn how to do it and to learn the industry.
The time has come to make the time. Next I need to figure out a small step I can take—something that I can complete in a weekend.
Maybe choosing a topic for an article, something I could research quickly. Maybe interviewing someone. Maybe just writing an outline.
