find a job i love

I start effective immediately. Can’t wait for my first assignment. I received all the paperwork in the mail not long after I ditched the bad job on Friday. It feels good to be a free agent finally.

I completed it today! They fingerprinted me, took my photo for a new I.D. I’ll be an official substitute teacher in a few days.

So one down! A few education credits, three tests (including an LAST exam), three child saftey workshops and 40 hours class teaching time (as a sub) to go before I get the Professional Certificate.

Hopefully this won’t take long! A year maybe—I’m keeping my fingers crossed. ;)

I’m down to one final reccomendation and then my application for substitute teaching is complete.

Also signing up for the teacher’s certification workshop.

At first I thought, “ME? An English or Business Teacher?” I totally had a difficulty picturing it. But, I enjoying helping people almost as much as I love writing, and books. So, why not? :) Besides, I really want to do something to help kids in my community and the benefits are great. Plus, it would enable me to invest more time in my other career goals.

I have the application and hopefully I’ll start soon.
I’ll likely be substituting for a while, at least until I get my provisional liscense.
