Okay, so everyone said wait till.............  — 4 weeks ago

August to try blackberries again. Well, it’s that time. I’ll be going shopping next week and I’ll give the blackberries another shot. Basically, I hope I have better luck with fresh fruits in general because I always seem to get the nasty bitter ones.

I’ll be pissed if I still end up with sour blueberries again because this time of year here in Michigan is when everyone is picking them and getting good bunches.

It would also be nice if those damn things are cheaper. I’ve been paying three dollars for a little container for SOUR blueberries. I know I should probably just leave them in the store but I’m a sucker for blueberries. Oh well. At least, it’s not junk food.

grocery shopping on Thursday. Looking forward to the yummy fruits and veggies I’ll be getting. I already made my list. Can’t wait. I also looked in my book “The Complete Encyclopedia of Vegetables and Vegetarian Cooking” for recipes. I’m not vegetarian. I bought the book because I was looking for something geared toward vegetables. I found a few recipes I’d like to try but, I don’t know, they sound a little too fattening for a “diet”. Maybe I can make little changes. We’ll see.

this is not a new diet….this is my new way of eating….this is how I eat now….no more junk. Amazingly, I have not been craving sugar which is very strange because I’m a sugarholic and fruit has NEVER been able to tame this beast. However, I’m actually enjoying my fruits and I’ve discovered that fruit with peanut butter can be great. Yum!!!

my fruits and veggies. I finally used my steamer and I LOVE it. It’s amazing how much more you can eat when you’re eating the right things. Who knew vegetables could actually be filling? LOL. I’ve also noticed something else. I have more energy and I’m sleeping better.

a steamer. It came yesterday. I’m so excited. I can’t wait to use it. I also bought veggies that I’ve never had like asparagus. I’m willing to try any veggie now. I’ve spent my whole life avoiding vegetables. I’m going to change that now. I also bought some cookbooks geared to veggies so I don’t get bored with the same thing. For example, I bought cabbage. Though I’ve had cabbage before someone else cooked it. I have no idea what to do with it and boiled cabbage doesn’t sound all that appetizing.

my fruits and veggies like a good girl. Who knew fruits and veggies could be filling. All my life I’ve eaten junk food and what would be considered heavy meals. I’m really enjoying this new transition. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that it’s much better for me with trying to lose weight as well as other benefits. The only problem is that my stomach has been upset for a few days now. I can’t figure out what it could be. Hopefully, it will go away soon.
