Today marked my 3rd week at the gym, and my best workout so far. I focused on my actions as I lifted the weights, concentrating only on the sensation of my muscles working. While I was on the elliptical, I focused on a single spot on the ceiling. Though I was aware of the workout, I barely felt pain. I killed 2 birds with one stone today.
I was lucky enough to lose 30 of my 35 baby-weight pounds without any diet or exercise. But that doesn’t mean that I’m healthy or fit. I realize now that I’m not 16 anymore; I can’t eat an entire tub of cake frosting without consequences. And I can’t continue to live a sedentary lifestyle and expect to stay thin or live long. I’ve consciously made the decision to change, now I’ve got to live the change.
