Fun!

Baking is fun and I highly recommend it! It’s comforting to smell the scents of vanilla, butter, cinammon (or whatever I’m using) mixing in the air—somehow it reminds me of lazy summer afternoons during my childhood when I would spend all day in the kitchen while my mom baked goodies off Betty Crocker’s cook books, hehe. Here’s a pic of our kitty attempting to sneak a bite while I looked for a good angle for a “glamour shot” of the cookie jar.

I finally found time to make some honey oatmeal cookies from scratch (and NOT from a pre-packed mix like Pillsbury, etc). Here is what they look like. My hubby couldn’t wait to get his hands on them soon as they came out of the oven. They turned out reaaaally good – yummy, moist and chewy with a bit of crunch because of the nuts I added. (:
