Very tired ..... 3 months ago

Once again!! I feel like this is the slogan for my life these days!

Another bus day with my sick little cherub. Including another trip in the car to go to the hospital tonight. Thankfully by the time that we made it to my little ones Godparents house her fever had started to come down again, and she had stopped vomiting. After an hour of watching her she was quite happily chatting and playing with her Godmother. So we arrived home at 10pm.

I’d love to say that I had a huge list of achievements today, but feel that not much has been managed while trying to keep my little one quiet. It’s been a hot day today, so we did go out for an hour or so early afternoon, so that some fresh air could be enjoyed. During that time we also got a new dvd for my munchkin, which kept her pretty quiet for the rest of the afternoon.

I also got myself a new camera at last! So now I can see what photo’s I take when I take them. :-)

1. A rough morning with my little one, so was a bit embarrassed when woken at 9.45 by the electrician who had come to do more repair work.
2. Shower (of course) while the electrician worked on the outside of the house.
3. Managed to catch up with a number of cals while he did his repair work.
4. A short outing with my little one for some warm sunshine & fresh air.
5. A little shopping for us both.
6. Succeeded in quiet time for my little one for the rest of the arvo.
7. Dinner etc.
8. Bit of a clean-up job, after some “dirty burps” (vomits), happened with my little one in bed.
9. Headed off to hospital (didn’t end up there), and just recently arrived home.

WHAT FUN.

Very little got done on today’s ‘to do’ list, but I’m fine with that at the moment. As long as my little one’s ok. :-)

It's been soooo long.... 3 months ago

Once again, I’m back. Hopefully with a lot more regularity this time.

I’m hoping to catch up with a few hi’s to a few of you wonderful 43ers over the net few days. Was planning to do so yesterday, until my little one came down with a bad temperature again which ended with us at the hospital last night.

At 1.30am after chest x-rays we found that she has pneumonia! By this time a dose of panadol had kicked in and she was skipping and singing through the children’s casualty department (also after not having any sleep for over twenty hours), much to the amazement of the medical staff.

So we’re on a go slow in our house for a few days until her temperature stabilizes again. My poor little one has been through the wringer with viruses etc over the last few months, so I hope that after this she’ll start to improve a little.

Anyway, yesterdays achievements included:

1. unpacked another four boxes.
2. Arranged repair job for our washing machine.
3. Submitted my little one’s school applications for next year.
4. Dishes.
5. Arranged for removalist’s to collect a pile of empty boxes.
6. Usual garbage duties.
7. Rush to hospital, followed by very little sleep. :-)
8. Got home at 2am to find that the computer screen had died. :-(

Today’s list:

1. Woken up by washing machine guy arriving for repairs. Oops!
2. Mad dash to bank, quick drive through for an “Old McDonald’s” ice-cream for my little one who still had a fever.
3. made it to Dr’s appt. with ice-cream melting down my wrist. :-P
4. Quick meet up for lunch with a friend & dvd shopping for a treat for my little one.
5. Quick dash across city to borrow a spare comp. screen off my brother, so that my little one can play games tomorrow for a bit of “quiet time”.
6. usual things once home, dinner, cleaning etc.
7. Madly trying to get emails etc done without having to use toothpicks to keep eyes open.

Sadly I’ve avoided my sewing commitments today due to the obvious reasons, so will hopefully get the chance to do some tomorrow.

Am hopefully off to bed in the next few minutes. Sooooo tired….....

Fourth day in a row..... 5 months ago

have been up at four am unable to get back to sleep. The stress has been getting to me a bit of late.

So at 4am this morning I managed to organize about eight pages of ideas to show to Sam when we met up today. That’s first on today’s achievements.

2. Get Ibby to school on time.
3. make it to my meet-up with Sam & Bella, idea and fabric/stock swap went well.
4. Went to spotlight to get a new cutting tool.
5. Went to local charity warehouse to purchase a quantity of business shirts so that I can modify and ‘up-cycle’ them into kids clothes.
6. Went to yet another suburb (fifth one so far today) to pick up supplies for market stock.
7. Went home a fell into bed feeling less than ordinary with very sore throat & headache.
8. Picked up my little one & went to visit her Godparents (for five minutes only), and 4.5hrs later arrived home at 10pm.

Now feeling very exhausted and a bit under the weather, so am heading off to bed. Then we can get up in the morning so that I can go and start the whole house hunting search again. Ugh! :-(

After a bit of an unplanned absence........ 5 months ago

i’m slowly getting my way back to things here, in tiny quick snatches at least…......

I hope that within the next couple of days I’ll be able to get those messages out to a few 43t’ers that I’d love to touch base with. My apologies for not doing so sooner, it’s all been a little overwhelming at this end of late.

Not much has changed since my last entry on the home front except for a HUGE amount of stress. :-)

Today’s achievements so far include…....

1. More searching for a new home…....no sign of one yet…
2. Finished weeding the vegie patch for the dirt to be collected by Peter for his vegie garden. Sniff
3. Put my little one’s Christmas present on lay-by. Today was the last day of a big toy sale so I seized the opportunity. :-)
4. Tred to fight it as much as possible, but had to have a bit of a nap due to a couple of nights with too much back & rib pain.
5. Made a batch of spaghetti bol sauce to pop in the freezer to get us by on those ‘to tired to cook’ nights.
6. Got a new (2nd hand) washing machine today, which works like a dream!! Have been madly washing blankets etc. before packing them away.
7. Started packing again. Slowly but surely. Am soooo sick of being surrounded by boxes!

I MISS my sewing!!!! :-(

Managed to............ 5 months ago

put three ribs out, seemingly in the wee hours of this morning. Couldn’t even get too much relief after being at the hands of my physio for 45 minutes. Hopefully it’ll correct itself with another go at sleeping tonight.

Also managed to finish sewing all eighty of the vests for that dreaded order. Now all I have to do is knot the threads on each one, and deliver them to Sam tomorrow. :-)

Just hope that I can manage to drive that far without too much pain.

Too tired to write much else at the moment, will add more later, and hopefully I’ll now manage to get the time to respond to all those comments left by you wonderful 43er’s out there! Sorry I’ve been so distracted….....

Was too tired..... 5 months ago

and down yesterday to write any entries.

Felt as if I got little achieved yesterday, but am sure that I did ok. Will have to think of things as I list them…..

1. A quick clean up around the house.
2. Oiled the sewing machine after it started making tired noises due to the work-out that it’s been getting of late.
3. Managed to finish 19 vests (only knotting of threads to go now).
4. Caught up briefly with Sam while she was in town. As I haven’t finished the vests we’ll have to deliver them down south tomorrow.
5. Made a half decent dinner which my little one actually ate. :-)
6. Got to bed relatively early, which was lucky as my back went in to spasm at 3am. No sleep after that.

Today’s list is simple. Sew sew sew…....

Ok....... 5 months ago

today’s list includes the following;

1. house hunting to see if we could find a new home so that we can have another roof over our heads. Saw four, liked one.

2. more sewing.

3. not much else apart from the usual meals, bath time etc for my little one.

Unfortunately I was pretty stressed out today and feel that I haven’t managed to get too much done. Still, it was a much better day than getting nothing done at all. :-)

Who'da guessed it! 5 months ago

I’m tired once again! Have that feeling that I’m ready to get off this ride now…........

Today’s attempts, or achievements. to tired to decipher…..

1. Made it through a really bad night of sleep for my little one (which also means moi). Her breathing was the worst that it’s been in a long time last night and she had a lot of difficulty breathing. Which was very unsettling, so I found it hard to relax and sleep while she tried to.

2. Got her to childcare on time.

3. Sorted out four bags of items to be passed on to others including the childcare centre. Woo-hoo! More de-cluttering.

4. Went to view a property for possible lease. Was very nice, but could be hard for us to get a hold of. Checking another four tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

5. Came home and sewed the edging on to 28 vests for the order.

6. A quick grab of supplies at the supermarket, then picked up my little one.

7. Scrumptious fish & chips for our weekly treat dinner.

8. Managed to sew a few more vests, before exhaustion kicked in…........

My little one’s breathing is very heavy and a bit laboured tonight. Hopefully we can both get a good nights sleep.

My biggest achievement that I managed today....... 5 months ago

Was to give myself a whopping great migraine! :-/

I received a call from the woman who’s job it is to relocate us into a new home. She offered a cottage in a suburb that I have a lot of dislikes about for numerous reasons. It’s very close to the city and is an area that I’d prefer not to raise my little one. I had a lot of pressure put on me to take this place which was very stressful. Hopefully the reasons that I put forward will be taken into consideration, and we’ve both been looking at the private rental market again. Fingers crossed.

my other achievements today:

1. Got my little one to school for the day.
2. A bit of grocery shopping.
3. Found some extra properties to put forward as a suggestion.
4. Lay down for a while to try and shake the migraine.
5. Eventually managed to start doing some more packing, and have made tiny steps forward again.

Am going to try for a bit of sleep soon.

A hard day today........ 5 months ago

I’m struggling a little under all the pressure of late, and am trying hard to keep managing to do something no matter how little. Today’s effort;

1. Another four or five boxes of books, including my cooking books.
2. A box full of long items such as fabric rolls, gift wrap rolls, drawing paper and curtain rods.
3. Washed a couple of blankets/towels & a load of clothes.
4. Answered some emails & made a few phone calls.
5. Tried to contact the person who’s trying to find a new home for us. No luck. Hope to hear back tomorrow.
6. A little more sorting.

Don’t think I managed to achieve much else today. Just trying to get through in one piece at the moment.

Have been desperate for my little one to go to childcare this week so that I can pack & have a little catch-up time. Sadly my poor little munchkin has now come down with conjunctivitis which means no school, and no break for either of us. :-(
