crochet christmas presents for everyone! Or at least give handmade gifts this year.

I have not even really checked on these goals in so long that I have forgotten to mark this one off. This year for Christmas everyone that got s present from me got a scarf! I am sure most of them really didn’t want a scarf but too darn bad. :) Maybe by next year I will be better at crocheting and more organized, maybe people will get hats. Ha. Anyway, it felt good to make gifts for people instead of just buying them something because I had to really think about what colors and styles would best fit each person then I devoted a few hours to each one. I think that is real love. :)

I made my list of every person and what they are getting, and I got the yarn for all of my projects. I placed each project into a plastic grocery bad and wrote the persons name on it. That way I can just grab one bag at a time and make whatever I am making for that person and I won’t get the colors I chose for everyone confused. As of right now I have about 15 projects waiting, one in the making and 2 that just need some finishing touches. I wonder if I will really be able to get all of these things done in time. Off to stitch I go… in a minute. :)

Now I have to make blankets for Trin and my new niece that isn’t here yet too.

My darling little niece Emma! I have to make something for her for Christmas too! Does all baby girl stuff have to be pink? I like green and yellow.

Well, today I worked some more on Briana’s blanket and it is looking really nice. A lot better than I though it would. And, changing colors isn’t that hard at all! I really thought it would be much scarier. I think maybe 3 more weekends of working on it and it should be all done.

Also, I should finish the scarf I am working on during me breaks at work this week. I am making that one for myself, but after that I should be ready to start on some for gifts. :)

I started Briana’s blanket today and so far I love it. I am making good progress too, I have made it over half way through a skein of yarn today. I think I will get even more done tomorrow since I don’t have to do laundry or anything. When I am done with hers I might make one for myself.

Oh… I need to make a list of people that I want to make gifts for. Here is a start:

Now that I am almost done with my first scarf I think that I might be able to make a few for Christmas gifts. I also think that if I really put my mind to it and do a good job of hiding it, I might be able to make a blanket for my bff. It might be sorta hard since we are also roommates but if I work on it while she’s at work or in my room I might get away with it. (Man, I hope she doesn’t read this). :)
