figure out who I am

what if you figure out who you are and you decide you don’t like that person?

that’s what I’m afraid of. I still don’t know who I am. I know what I believe in, but I’m still trying to figure everything else out.

I am almost an adult, but on the inside I’m a child. I love to laugh and spend time with people I care about. When I see empty space I sprawl out on it, rolling around in the grass or on the floor. I like to color.

I’m pro-choice, but anti-abortion. Anti-Bush. Anti-war. Pro-love. Pro-compassion.

I don’t believe in god, but I’m a godmother.

I believe in being nice to everyone. Smile when you get the chance. The person you’re smiling at might not get another smile all day.

I’m a lover. I’m a giver. I hug, scratch backs, massage heads, hold hands, and talk. I accept that people are different than me.

I’m overcoming depression. I’m learning to love myself.

This is who I am.
