I don’t think I drink more than anyone else I nkow, but I seem to be a lot more conscious about it, and it just seems impossible to socialise without people shoving it in your face. I had a bit too much on Saturday night and ended up in a big sulky mood. I hate the way I get when I’m drunk. I have a family wedding next weekend, but after that, I’m going to try not to drink throughout the month of June.

I am not going to have a drink until August 31st, when I go to Connect festival. I think I’ll try to keep money I would have spent on drink aside so I will have money to enjoy myself at the Festival. Yay!!
Yep, wasn’t too hard. I ended up having a drink on the Thursday night, but it was only a glass of wine, so not toobad. I’m going to keep it detoxed again until Sunday. It’s my birthday next week so I may have to have a drink then, but feeling less like I’m dying of a Saturday morning is no bad thing. I’m going to do another dry fortnight after by birthday I think.
My plan to not have a drink until this Fridya is going almost perfectly. My friend graduated uni last week and I was invited to her graduation party, and I had a half glass of wine for a toast, but other than that, I haven’t had anyhting. I even survived a night out with friends from home and they were all on cocktails while I was on the Diet Coke. It’s doable.
I aim to not have a drink until my Dad’s 60th birthday party on July 6th. Let’s see what my skin has to say about that!
Went to see my boyfriend’s band last night and had a few too many. Right – this nonsense stops here. I feel hideous, have no idea how I’m going to get through a day of work and am really annoyed with myself that I spent so much money on having a drink. Grooo.
I don’t even really have a taste for it anymore. I just don’t really enjoy having more than one or two.
This is definitely getting easier.
Ah, my skin is clearer and I feel a little less like death!
it is difficult, though, when all your friends are heavy drinkers – saying you’re not drinking often gets really funny looks and they ask what’s wrong. I think I’m gonna have to start lying about being on anti-biotics or something! But I was at a gig last week and just had juice instead of beer and I felt so much better getting home and feeling fine after the gig, not feeling half cut or hazy and wanting to eat crap.
It’s difficult, but I think this one is really gonna be worth it
I’m going to attempt to go totally dry for the next wee while. While I’m looking for a new job and stuff, I can’t afford to spend any more money than is absolutely necessary, so that’s another good reason to cut back. Plus I’m trying to shift a couple of pounds, so that’s another reason.
I think that hardest part is going to be dealing with other people asking about it, but I have to do this for myself, I think. Looking and feeling better are my main goals for this year, and i haven’t found alcolhol to help any of these.
