soy milk

Tried 8th Continent Soymilk yesterday. It’s not as sweet (strong?) as Silk. Very good. Soy milk is better for the environment than milk. It takes a lot more grains to feed the cows as opposed to just growing soy beans so I will try to drink less milk also.

I am using a calendar to mark the days I don’t eat meat to focus more on what I am doing rather than what I’m not.



tracking my good days

I am marking the days I’ve gone completely without meat with a star. Rather than feeling terrible when I don’t do it. Yesterday and the day before: stars. Today, I had a hamburger. I am working on it.



Quantum Wellness

I just read the chapter about ethical eating. I definitely want to make a change. At first I was overwhelmed but she gave examples of ways to start. (eg Meatless Mondays, start with “small animals” first: chickens and turkeys). I am going to give it a shot and at least reduce my meat eating. My challenges are learning how to cook vegitarian and the pressure in the home. I live with meat eaters who will probably not budge on their ways. I think there’s a lot of things I can do to start. I’m feeling less overwhelmed and more excited.
