We have found out that if I remove gluten from my diet – I cycle! It’s exciting, but I feel my body is really damaged from the years of eating gluten, so we are going to wait 1-2 years before trying again. That still leaves a good amount of time to get back to TTC before hitting 35.

Well, we went through three cycles on Clomid. I didn’t ovulate on 100mg, did on 150mg, and then this third cycle – no clue what’s going on. All my HPTs are negative but I’m very late – making me think I didn’t ovulate again. It could be that I did NaNo, resulting in a lot of sitting on my butt instead of doing t’ai chi or pilates every day like last cycle.
Next cycle is an HSG if the beta we took today comes back negative (results on Friday) or I start today or tomorrow.
They say the cycle after an HSG usually has a better chance, plus the community center/gym is supposed to open in January, so maybe exercise will help as well.
If I’m not pregnant.
Which I don’t think I am.
So I’m hoping for the Jan/Feb cycle to be successful.
We started seeing a specialist last month, and go in on August 2nd to discuss Clomid.
I lost about 60 pounds, just doing exercise for the health of it (about 1.5 hours a day, 5-6 days a week), but it’s all back since I’ve gone off the pill a year ago. I ovulated according to charting the first few cycles, but quickly stopped.
I have no energy, and my joints hurt constantly. Glucophage doesn’t seem to help that any.
Feeling a bit at my wit’s end, though hopeful for the future. Crossing fingers for Clomid’s working.
We finally called the insurance people and they cover diagnostics, corrective surgery, but not fertility drugs or IVF. Not really shocking, but a little disappointing.
For the curious, step #1 was to get over some emotional trauma from my past, #2 was to quit smoking, step #3 was to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
If I can maintain daily exercise and my current (well, aside from this last week of vacation) eating habits, I would like to start working my way back up on the Metformin in October and go off the pill next December.
Been trying off and on for 7 years. Now making a concentrated effort to get my PCOS under control by eating right and exercising regularly.
