I’ve always wanted to learn how to build furniture from scratch. I can never find the “perfect” thing, be it a bookshelf, desk, bed, etc, but I can always picture exactly what I want. When we buy a house, I would love to have a workshop just for this, probably mostly with hand tools, except for the essentials (like a drill) in electric appliances. I like the feel of doing things manually, whether it’s cooking, or biking, or something like this.
Mostly I just need a space to do it in, which with apartment-living, I’m very lacking in.
