Habits I’m pretty good about:
  • [new] Record my weight every day
  • Be more visible at work
  • Lights out and TV off by midnight
  • Drink <= 1 cup of coffee a day
  • Shower and get dressed as soon as I get up
  • Improve my Spanish
  • Read up on effective college teaching, in general and in my field
Habits that I’m struggling with but still care about:
  • Drink enough water
  • Check my voicemail regularly
  • Schedule daily goals that I can accomplish
  • Record 5 things I’m grateful for every day
  • Move for 15 minutes a day
  • Don’t watch TV alone
  • Check my RSS feeds and favorite websites only twice a day
  • Set clear daily and weekly research goals
Habits that have kinda fallen by the wayside:
  • Keep a journal
  • Find and cooperatively cheer-bomb 43T newbies

  • Record 5 things I’m grateful for every day
  • Shower and get dressed as soon as I get up

These are going pretty well. I still don’t feel so hot, so I shudder to think what my life would be like without these habits.

These are going ok, actually. Probably the worst one was “be more visible at work,” but I’ve been working on that. Plus it’s harder over the summer when a lot of folks are gone…

Looking back at the last post 8 months ago, here are the habits I’ve been faithful with:

  • Drink no more than 1 cup of coffee a day
  • Check my voicemail regularly

The goals I’ve been kinda faithful to, but could stand to recommit:

  • Be visible at work (the Corporate Masters’ as well as the University)
  • Practice FLYing with a like-minded group of 43Thingers
  • Lights out and TV off by midnight
  • Set clear daily and weekly research goals
  • Shower and get dressed as soon as I get up

The goals I’ve totally abandoned, without meaning to:

  • Blog every week
  • Help Katchoo become a Top 500 Amazon reviewer

And the goals I’ve totally abandoned, and that’s ok:

  • Use my CPAP every night (it just isn’t working for me, and losing weight helped with the apnea anyway)
  • Track time spent on research (helpful to get back in the habit, but not worth doing long-term)
