8/1: Walked the half-mile to the grocery store and back. “Back” = with 20 pounds of groceries.

i blew it 2 years ago

Totally forgot to walk 9/3, after 22 days straight. But that’s ok; it wasn’t integrated into my daily life well enough, or this wouldn’t have happened. Back to square one.

1 day: Tu 9/4.
2 days: W 9/5.
3 days: Th 9/6.

Was on a trip 9/7-9/9, so they don’t count (although I walked enough 9/8 for all three of them!).

4 days: M 9/10. Doubling to 8.
5 days: Tu 9/11. ugh, that date is no fun to type.
6 days: W 9/12.
7 days: Th 9/13.
8 days: F 9/14. Woo hoo, doubling to 16!
9 days: Sa 9/15.
10 days: Su 9/16.
11 days: M 9/17.
12 days: Tu 9/18.
13 days: W 9/19.

ARGH. I put it off all day 9/20 until it was too dark to walk! Back down.

1 day: F 9/21.
2 days: Sa 9/22. Up to 4.

Didn’t happen 9/23 either. Back down.



to combat the 4 pm blues 2 years ago

I planned these little walks near my home and work to take every afternoon when I start getting down. Today should be a freebie: I’m helping with a walking tour at work!

...and done. Moving to 2 days!

...after a little stopping and starting, 8/12 made 2 days in a row. Doubling to 4.

8/13 = 3 days. I seem to be a lot more successful at this when I have somewhere to go. At the risk of screwing with my sleep, there’s a coffee shop 4 blocks away that has the delicious-est flavored coffee (no flavored decaf though), and that’s proven a very attractive destination.

8/14 = 4 days. Doubling to 8.

7 days: 8/17
8 days: 8/18. Moving to 16.
9 days: 8/19
10 days: 8/20
