We had a busy weekend!

Let’s see.. this weekend we:

went camping

crossed state lines

cooked and ate with friends

went to the beach

And good times were had by all!

Whoops!

I forgot to take into consideration that not only am I a full time graduate student, but I’m also in the midst of planning a wedding. Oh yeah, and I am trying to heal/recover from an accident and get my FMS back into remission.

I think this means that I will have to accept that many items on this list likely will not happen.. this summer, anyway.

I’m giving myself the full summer to get as much as possible done. And I know September will be here soon.

Camping

The plans to complete item number five are well under way.

My brother is having a weekend set aside for a bunch of us to go up to Dutch Hollow August 15-16th, and I cannot wait!

I've got the sun to prove it!

Christy and I spent the entire afternoon at Foster Beach today. It was a little chilly and I stayed fully dressed for most of the day, but I definitely had a good time and got a little sun to boot.

I can cross sub-goal number six off the list..

Tonight, Jessica, Syed, Shannon, Miles & I went to House of Sushi and Noodles and gorged ourselves on their buffet.

The point of this was mostly so Shannon and I could sample many types of their vegetarian sushi, and we certainly did that. It was also good to see them again as they are leaving for South America in less than two weeks.

The quality of the sushi was not the best, but I’m definitely glad to have had this experience.

Its not even officially summer yet..

and I’ve already crossed state lines. Woohoo!

I’ll be doing it again, many times, when Syed and I drive to DC in June!

Copied from Facebook, where I got the idea from Christy!

In no particular order, here’s what I want to do:

1) Go to the beach.. multiple times.

2) Attend several Summer Dance programs. Its about time I become less awkward and clumsy!

3) Great America, beetches!

4) Eat my way through the Taste of Chicago.

5) Go camping.

6) Gorge on veggie maki at House of Sushi and Noodles Buffet.

7) Pack a picnic lunch and explore Graceland Cemetery.

8) Use Chicago Public Library passes to explore some of the city’s museums.. for free!

9) Spend an entire day being a tourist in my own city.

10) Come up with some sort of creative group project and make it happen.

11) Pick a book to read and then discuss in person (or if we really have to, electronically).

12) Sneak into Lollapalooza again.

13) Attend 3rd of July fireworks from my sweet spot out by the Planetarium.

14) Cross state lines.

15) Attend concerts in Grant and/or Millenium Park.

16) Cook and eat together with friends.

17) Go horseback riding.

18) Karaoke.

19) Go out on a boat on Lake Michigan.

20) Your idea goes here.

If any of these interest you, let me know and we will work out the details of it.
