I completely failed at this the last two days. My alarm went off at 5:30, and yesterday I got up at 7:30 and today I got up at 8:10. I had been awake for over an hour each day, I just didn’t want to get out of bed – because I’m a lazy moron in the morning, apparently. Ah well. There’s always tomorrow.

Daylight savings time is kicking me where it counts, people. Ugh. I kept waking up in the middle of the night, and I think it’s correlated to the greater-than-average amount of coffee I drank yesterday morning. I hit my snooze several times, waking up at 5:45 rather than 5. I’m still ok with it, though – I have, in the not too distant past, been hitting snooze or turning my alarm off completely until 7:30 or 8. So this morning I’m still giving myself a pat on the back.. this will get easier, inshallah.
My alarm went off at 5am this morning; I thought about getting up and finally did when it went off again at 5:09. I’m feeling pretty good about that, especially as with this time change my body still thinks my alarm went off at 4 (seriously, I should move to Arizona. I will never understand why we change all our clocks twice a year).
I’m feeling productive. So far today I’ve done my physical therapy, 100 sit ups, stretched, pet my dog, and meditated. Now I can still eat breakfast and be to work before seven. Yay!
Lacking a nap, which is going to be hard not to cave in to, I should be asleep nice and early tonight so I can wake up early again tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
ETA: Nap taken. However, it was only 20 minutes long at lunchtime, and it stopped me from looking like death warmed over at work. I still have high hopes of an early bedtime.
I will get up when my alarm goes off at 5:30. No ‘if’s, ‘and’s, or ‘but’s. I’ll report back tomorrow.
Edit: Success. I am awake before the sun.
