Making progress 19 months ago

I’m making progress at home. When my husband tried working over the road driving a truck, I was very productive at home. I kept my house straighten up, dishes were always clean, etc. He’s back now (the road was not for him) and apparently neither is picking up after himself. I have more of a challenge keeping the house visitor ready all the time. I am still having problems with productivity during the week. I need a structured schedule. I think that will help me out a lot.



Very productive this weekend 20 months ago

I think I have found a way to help myself be more productive. Aside from having this list to help me stay focused, if I plan in advance to accomplish something with my husband, I actually stand a greater chance of completing it (instead of being side tracked by his personal goals).

We planned together to work on our backporch (which is actually a heated/cooled room on the back of our house). We cleaned it out, cleaned the walls, primed the walls, and painted (3 coats—I was the roller). I was so tired I couldn’t hardly sleep last night. I felt like we were on an episode of weekend warriors. We also cleaned out our master bedroom (which is under construction right now and was only being used for storage). We used a local church benefit as an excuse to go through our things and donate items to assist them to go to Peru. It was a little more motivation than we generally have (which has been none). We got the room cleaned out and now you can see the floor.

His tools are next! He keeps buying tools and doesn’t realize he already has them. Grrrr. I’ve talked him into us organizing them so he’ll always know what he has and where to find it.



Making head way 20 months ago

I have been making head way. I keep this goal on my mind when I am at work. I haven’t been as productive at home (except for the fact I am not watching as much TV and I’ve been updating my blog and I’ve started working out (maybe that is being more productive)). I like the changes so far.



Do something! 20 months ago

I want to be more productive when I get home from work each day. I have been doing a little more than usual, but I would like to start working on these goals instead of watching television for hours.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a program that helps you plan what to do each day?
