the other day, saturday to be specific, i was at the mall with a friend of mine, and at one point, she wanted to get a gumball out of the well, gumball machine. and so, we went over there and as she was getting her gum, a few machines over, i noticed this little boy, maybe 4 years old, with the SADDEST expression on his face pointing to the gumballs in the machine. i looked over at the front of it, and noticed it was only 25cents, so as i was trying to get the money out of my purse for him, i looked over, and he was gone. he had ran off to catch up to his family. i was kind of disappointed, because i knew if he had gotten the money, it would have been like christmas to him. but of course, he probably shouldn’t have gotten the quarter anyways, his mother didn’t give him one for a reason. ahh well.
