Obviously, I don’t expect to achieve this anywhere near now, possibly never. But I love to dream, so why not conjure up my own dream home?
Master Suite: Open to a sitting room (or dressing room) or connected with a sitting room. Master Bath contains whirlpool tub and walled-in shower. His/Her WIC’s, Toilet/Bidet in a separate room from the bath.
Closed Kitchen: Having lived in a home with an open kitchen and seeing all the traffic it creates, and seeing how impossible it is to watch a movie or read in the room connected to it (due to the fact it is a highly social area, and noisy cooking area), I do not want an open kitchen/dining room area in my dream house.
Indoor Pool: I’m not a fan of heat… or bugs. Or people using your backyard as their playground when you’re away.
Library: Not just a study, I would like a library with walls full of books. :) I would like it to connect to a slightly raised, rounded reading area with a fireplace – A place to just lounge around with a good book.
2 extra bedrooms: I would like at least 2 other bedrooms for guests.
Exercise Room: Because home gyms are nicer than being self conscious and paying a membership fee for it. Would be fine to put in a basement.
Finished Basement: Contains a home theater – no, really. A room made up to look like kind of like a theater, just cozier. Also contains a rec room (pool ping pong, and other fun stuff that I have no room for currently).
Office: Computer Room Let’s face it. I can’t live without having a place for my computer.
