I'm not giving up, but... 19 months ago

this is a low priority for me right now.

Good thing I waited... 2 years ago

I ended up using all of my keyboard money to repair my laptop which is essential for school. $0 in the fund once again.

Still haven't purchased... 2 years ago

I did some more research in August but am waiting until December because with school starting I just didn’t have time to do the shopping and didn’t want to be rushed.

As soon as I pay the body shop... 2 years ago

I was in a car accident on July 3rd. (No injuries, serious damage to my car, none to other driver’s, other driver’s fault, and he lied about being insured!) Once I pay the body shop, I’ll know how much I’ll have left for my keyboard, but with my new raise, I intend to make this my first big purchase. Yipee!

Yippee! 2 years ago

I didn’t owe as much for taxes as I feared. It took me SEVEN doggone hours to figure it all out, but I got a $200 plus refund from federal which I then forked over to the state along with another $30-40. So, most of the money I had saved from Christmas, I’ll get to spend on my keyboard. I do have to wait until I actually get the refund from federal, but then I’m going SHOPPING for my keyboard. Can’t wait to play again!

After some calculations, I realized I’m going to owe about $750 in taxes (because my employer just doesn’t withhold enough even though I claim 0 exemptions). I’ll have to use my keyboard money to pay taxes and wait until after my birthday and my next “extra” paycheck to perhaps be able to afford a keyboard then. I can’t believe how much I pay in taxes considering how little I make. It makes me furious.

Gathering Money for Keyboard 2 years ago

I have $600 towards a keyboard as a Christmas present from my parents. Tomorrow being payday for me, I should get my “extra” December check. I’ll have to see how much is left of that check after expenses, but I’ll soon be ready to buy.

I asked for money for Christmas 2006 so I can afford to buy a keyboard. Mostly I want one that has 88 keys, sounds great, and has a good touch. I’m not looking for bells and whistles. I’ve done some searching online and think I’ve narrowed it down to a particular company and model. However, I’m going to ask a business here it town to order one for me to try out before I purchase.
