get a dog

I don’t remember what triggered this – I think it was a dream or something – but the urge to get a dog hit me a lot harder the other day, and I suddenly wanted to push ahead with this goal.

Then I realised what steps I’d need to take before I can do it. First off, it requires me to move to a place that allows pets – preferably with a yard or something. Then I’d need to check out how much owning a dog actually costs and see if I can budget that kind of thing in.

Not to mention that, I don’t know how I’d travel as much as I do – on week-long holidays and so forth – without having someone to look after it while I’m gone.

Those are pretty big hurdles that I need to have a good think about before I can even consider owning a dog.

I go to Pet’s Paradise regularly. Seeing them in the windows during a lunchbreak is very therapeutic.

Still looking distant future at the moment, though.
