get my own place

I received my apartment assignment last week and I’m quite excited about it.

I was going to go in and take my furniture off of layaway, but I decided to keep it on until my credit card bill cycles so my balance is at zero and I can see if I really want to get my living room furniture from the same place so I can order it all at once.

I don’t know about what the apartment. I kind of haven’t pressed the issue because I think I’d like to go with the larger apartment. I figure since they are for immediate move in and I’ve built a pretty strong relationship with the leasing agent already that I can possibly talk to her about holding an apartment for a little longer since I want to move around the first.

I put furniture on layaway yesterday. Bedframe, mattress, dining room table and night stand. I’m not sold on living room furniture, but it’s cool because I can always borrow stuff until I get something of my own.

I put my deposit down, but I’m on the waiting list.

I’m just waiting on whoever is ahead of me to either get a co-signer or not, so I can have the apartment or know where I stand.

My supervisor has approved overtime, so this will allow me to move out a lot sooner.

I found the perfect place, now I just need to get a raise followed by furniture and then I’m good to go.

So… my next birthday is here, but I’m not out yet.

The good news is that I’m making plans to get out of here.

I’ve set a date, I have tips to help me, and I’m really ready to set things in motion this time.

Now I just need to let my parents know I’m really serious about this because every time I say something about moving out, they think I’m joking.

I really want my own place in July, but for some reason my mother thinks I should move home. If I do that I need to be out by my next birthday.

That would give me a good opportunity to find the kind of furniture that I would like and save for it.

This might take a while. I could have my own place in July, but then I just might move home and save more money before doing that.
